Meet Our New Data Provider: Opta

We like to keep you in the loop of all our updates here at Blinkfire Analytics. Maintaining transparency is a great way for you to know just how reliable, hard-working and innovative we are. That’s why we’re very happy to announce we’ve officially switched over to Opta as our new data provider.

Ever since ESPN informed us that it was retiring its public API, we’ve been on the hunt for a better platform for our services. That’s when Opta’s more robust and accurate data platform caught our attention. We know this switch fills in the gaps when it comes to deeper rosters and expanded league coverage. We’re sorry we left out that guy you went to college with who’s been on the team for a while. It won’t happen again.

You asked us for more, and here’s us delivering. This new data mine allows us to dig even deeper into social media statistics, and that’s a degree of analytics you’re going to enjoy.
