F1 Social Media Engagement Trends
Through Blinkfire Trends, we examined the most popular posts in the world of motorsport over the past seven days. Jack Doohan, the young Australian driver who will compete next year in Formula 1 with Alpine, ranked second in terms of engagement rate. His post announcing his new seat achieved an impressive engagement rate of 107.9%, with more than 240,000 interactions.

Doohan has also experienced a remarkable 27.6% increase in his Instagram followers this week, adding more than 52,000 new followers. This growth underscores the growing interest and anticipation around his Formula 1 debut next year.
Grand Prix Average Engagement per Post on Instagram
The Dutch Grand Prix, the fifteenth GP of the season, generated 429,000 interactions per post on Instagram. Although this figure is lower compared to events earlier in the season, it is still significant.

The Australian GP achieved the highest engagement per post with 743,000 interactions, followed by the Monica GP with 697,000 and the Saudi Arabian GP with 675,000. The highest figures are mostly concentrated at the beginning of the season, with the exception of Monaco, but we know that everything is exceptional and unique at that historic location.

Among the most prominent news during this time has been Carlos Sainz joining Williams Racing next season, after weeks of speculation about the Spanish driver’s future.

Charles Leclerc has established himself as a leading figure on social media this season, and it shows in the summer publications as he is the author of three of the four posts with the most interactions. In 2024, Leclerc has added more than 4.8 million new followers in total, including 2.8 million on Instagram. His presence on networks has generated an average of 520,000 interactions per post, the platforms on which he has achieved the best performance are Instagram with 1.4 million engagements per post and on TikTok with 970.6K.
Leclerc combines posts about his personal life, pictures of his pet, and travels with content related to Formula 1, offering fans a behind-the-scenes view. This strategy increases his popularity and provides valuable exposure to Ferrari and its sponsors.
