2024 Major League Baseball (MLB) Jersey Patch Sponsors
The 2024 season marks the second year of Major League Baseball (MLB) jersey patches, and 23 of the 30 teams now have sponsors. MLB has followed in the footsteps of the NBA and NHL, and teams are embracing this new sponsorship asset. In this blog, we detailed industry breakdowns and examples from each team’s 2024 jersey patch sponsor.
Jersey patch brands range from regional brands looking to make an impact in a specific market to global brands looking to reach all kinds of baseball fans through popular, large-market teams with superstar talent such as the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees.

Finance reigns above other industries with four brands, followed by energy and insurance with three each. The rest of the MLB jersey patch brands are spread across a wide variety of industries including healthcare, convenience stores, and building materials.
Motorola is making a significant investment in baseball as the only brand with two jersey patch deals (Chicago Cubs and San Diego Padres). The telecom company is spreading out their reach by partnering with both a west and central division team, but both teams also have a large national following. Motorola is also the jersey patch partner for the Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks.
There are currently seven MLB teams without jersey patch sponsors: Chicago White Sox, Minnesota Twins, Oakland Athletics, Seattle Mariners, Tampa Bay Rays, Washington Nationals, and Colorado Rockies.
MLB 2024 Postseason Helmet Sponsorship
Starting with the 2024 postseason, German workwear brand Strauss will debut as the official sponsor on MLB batting helmets. This partnership, part of a multi-year deal, marks the first time MLB helmets will feature a sponsor logo during the postseason, regular-season games in Europe, and throughout Minor League Baseball beginning in 2025. Strauss’ iconic logo will gain significant visibility across the sport, enhancing their brand presence in North America and aligning with Major League Baseball’s evolving sponsorship landscape.
