At Blinkfire, we follow of all things sports, sponsorship, and marketing. Today, we’re diving back into kit sponsors of one of the world’s top soccer leagues. A month ago, we looked at the main jersey sponsors for Premier League teams. Now it’s time to turn our attention to LALIGA EA SPORTS clubs.

LALIGA EA SPORTS and teams have more than 1 billion followers on social media, a number that highlights not only the global passion for soccer, but also the vast opportunities for sports sponsorships. Among the clubs that make up LALIGA are two of the most successful and recognizable organizations: Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. These sports giants not only draw crowds in stadiums, but their presence on digital platforms gives them an unparalleled global reach.

For the 2023-24 LALIGA EA SPORTS season, we analyzed which brands sponsor the 20 teams across front of jersey and sleeve plus kit manufacturer.

Front of Jersey Sponsor

For LALIGA EA SPORTS teams, telecom is the most common industry that sponsors the front of the kit. DIGI is found on Cádiz and Rayo Vallecano, Wiber is on Granada, and Finetwork is on Betis. Both DIGI and Finetwork have a presence with other LALIGA teams like Athletic Club, which sports the brand on the back of the kit. Real Sociedad has the brand on the sleeve during Champions League matches and on their shorts during league matches.

Airlines can be found on both Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid front of jersey. Real Madrid has had Emirates as a sponsor of its jersey since 2013, while the ‘colchoneros’ debut with Riyadh Air for the 2023-24 LALIGA season.

Sevilla is the only club that doesn’t have a front of jersey sponsor. Although it may be for a short time since rumors point to a possible agreement with Rakuten, a company has been present in the Spanish league through FC Barcelona’s kit.

Sleeve Sponsor

Fifteen different sectors appear on the sleeves of the LALIGA EA SPORTS teams, while 11 industries are on Premier League teams. Real Betis and Real Sociedad (in LALIGA) have Reale on their sleeve, and Valencia CF debut Divina Pastora on its sleeve this season. OK Mobility is one two teams’ sleeves: Alavés and Mallorca.

The current LALIGA champion FC Barcelona signed with Ambilight TV, while Real Madrid doesn’t sport any brand on its kit beyond Emirates and Adidas.

Kit Manufacturers

Adidas appears on four teams’ kits: RC Celta, Granada CF, CA Osasuna, and Real Madrid. After the German brand, Nike, Castore, and Puma have a solid representation with three teams each.

Nike, the official brand of FC Barcelona, lost some of their LALIGA presence compared to the 2022-23 season, while Castore added Athletic Club to its list that also includes Sevilla FC and UD Almería. Puma is the kit manufacturer of Alavés, Girona, and Valencia CF.

The Italian brand Macron is on Real Sociedad and Cádiz CF’s kits, the Spanish brand Joma is on Getafe and Villarreal, Hummel is on the kits of Las Palmas and Betis, and Umbro is the kit supplier of Rayo Vallecano

Other brands

Something that differentiates LALIGA from other leagues like the Premier League is the presence of brands on the shorts or the back of the shirt. Although not all teams in LALIGA have different brands on their kits (front of jersey, sleeve, back of jersey, and shorts) — for example Real Madrid doesn’t. Some LALIGA teams have up to six brands on their uniforms like Las Palmas or Alavés.

Regarding which industry each of these thirty brands belong to, there is a lot of diversity, from NGOs such as Acnur that appears on the back of the Barça players to companies that promote tourism in their cities such as Betis with Turismo Sevilla or Las Palmas with the Canary Islands.
