Vodafone Giants & Blinkfire Analytics Renew Partnership
Vodafone Giants and Blinkfire Analytics renew their ongoing partnership.
Vodafone Giants and Blinkfire Analytics are excited to renew their partnership for 2021. The two companies have worked together since 2017, and the goal of the partnership is for the Vodafone Giants, the most successful esports club in Spain, to achieve brand impact and awareness by using Blinkfire’s patented and proprietary platform and technology to improve social media and sponsorship exposure.
The club continues to expand its list of partners, including big-hitting brands like Vodafone, Kit Kat, Nike, Nesquik, Maggi Fusian, Chupa Chups, Diesel Only The Brave, Red Bull, and Hot Wheels.
To properly design and implement activation campaigns with sponsors, it is important for Vodafone Giants to know precisely and accurately the reach and value of those activations. That means leveraging Blinkfire’s platform for tracking, valuing, and reporting of sponsorship campaigns.
Data tracking is critical to creating sponsorship activations, especially now that many activations are entirely digital due to the pandemic. The tools provided by Blinkfire Analytics are essential in creating detailed campaign reports for further analysis and review. Vodafone Giants use the platform to calculate their value, reach, logo exposure, and engagement, as well as many other esports-specific metrics like concurrent viewers (CCV) and total time watched.
At the same time, working with Vodafone Giants offers Blinkfire a broad range of campaign evaluations since the esports club’s players and content creators have more than 20 million followers across their social networks and platforms.
Through this partnership, Blinkfire has provided Vodafone Giants with new tools that let them understand which content performs best while also detecting potential digital assets and sponsorship opportunities. Vodafone Giants have been given early access to test new features in Blinkfire, providing valuable feedback and suggestions. Because Blinkfire builds their tech in-house, the Chicago and Valencia-based company often builds new features from customer and sport-specific needs. For example, in the case of Vodafone Giants, features created directly benefitted the club in terms of esports reporting and analysis.
Lisardo Morán, COO & Head of Sponsorship at Vodafone Giants, focused on the great collaboration with Blinkfire Analytics. “One of the keys of our work is to elaborate the best possible reports,” said Morán. “In the esports industry, you have to be creative, and Blinkfire has helped us measure the ROI of activations since the very beginning. We are really proud to work closely with their development team and to offer our partners leading-edge measuring methods.”
Blinkfire’s Twitch Report is a perfect example of a tool tested by Vodafone Giants that many other customers are enjoying now. The club beta tested the new feature that analyzes esports content while also tracking brands and esport-specific assets. Detecting valuable content also helps Vodafone Giants package products offered to brands, such as birthday posts or Chupa Chups’ fan of the month series.
Johnny Kutnowski, Director of Product Management & Head of Esports, highlighted the great relationship he and Blinkfire have with Vodafone Giants and how this collaboration has been positive for both sides. “At Blinkfire, we create technological solutions for our customers to facilitate their decision-making in real-time,” said Kutnowski. “Over the years, Vodafone Giants have taken advantage of these ideas and have managed to go one step further, helping us shape new tools that are very useful for all our customers.”
